FastFingers.ai ("we", "us") is a typing tutor. This policy explains what personal data we process when you use fastfingers.ai and what rights you have.

1. Who is responsible

2. What we collect

• Account data: email address, display name, username, and sign-in provider (email, Google or Lovable).
• Typing results: speed (WPM), accuracy, duration, mode, per-key and letter-pair statistics, timing between keystrokes and smoothness score.
• AI Coach data: the goal text you enter, generated passages, story chapters and session reports.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type and request logs needed to run and secure the service.
• Settings stored in your browser: language, theme, keyboard layout and cookie choices.

We do not record the actual text you type beyond what is needed to score it.

3. Why and legal basis

• Providing your account, saving progress and leaderboards — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Security, fraud and abuse prevention, daily AI limits — legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Optional analytics and marketing cookies — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Leaderboards

Public boards show only your chosen username and scores. Your real name and email are never shown.

5. Who we share data with

We use processors to run the service: cloud hosting and database, authentication providers (Google, Lovable) and an AI model provider that generates practice text. Data sent to the AI contains your weak keys, level and optional goal — not your email or name. Some processors may be located outside the EU; transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards. We never sell your data.

6. How long we keep it

Account and typing data are kept while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove it and its results within 30 days. Server logs are kept for a short period for security.

7. Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You may complain to your local data protection authority. Email perakisgeorgios@gmail.com to exercise any right.

8. Children

FastFingers.ai is for all ages. Children under 16 (or the age set in their country) should only create an account with a parent's or guardian's permission. Lessons and tests work without an account. Parents can contact us to have a child's data deleted.
